FAQs
General
PLUNJ is a Nordic style bathhouse where the main focus is contrast therapy. It's a communal space balancing utility and luxury, designed to help guests feel better than when you came in.
The facility includes a dry sauna with electric stove, cold plunge pool (up to 4 people), rest station, two private bathrooms with toiletries, lockers, and complimentary tea and water. Guests typically rotate: sauna (10-15 min) → warm rinse → cold plunge (30 sec-5 min) → rest.
Contrast therapy is a type of treatment done through deliberate and safe exposure to extreme temperatures, such as switching back and forth between a sauna and a cold plunge.
PLUNJ is a social community gathering space with expectations for respectful behavior, including indoor voices and appropriate conversation. Any and all unwanted advances will be dealt with immediately.
Sessions last one hour. First-timers are encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes early. Guests should be mindful of restroom and changing area time usage.
The number of people per session varies by location, typically ranging from 6 to 8 individuals.
Clothing is mandatory. Swimwear or appropriate wet clothing is standard. All swimwear should be appropriate for a public communal space.
PLUNJ is a tech-free space. All electronic devices must be silenced unless medically or professionally necessary.
The minimum age is 14 years. Those aged 14-17 require adult accompaniment and a completed parental consent waiver.
Saunas operate between 175-190°F with approximately 20% humidity. Cold plunges range from 45-50°F.
